The End of the Earl Era Corvettes

Corvettes built for the 1961 and 1962 model years were distinguished by “ducktail” styling that predicted the design of the back of the new Stingray, which debuted in 1963. For added sleekness, side coves were less boldly decorated and grilles were updated by means of a mesh insert that replaced the large chrome-plated “teeth.” This example has been customized with a modern high-performance drivetrain, featuring a 565-horsepower V-8 engine coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.
