In Loving Memory

Brandon Gonzalez purchased this car from his father-in-law in the late 1990s on the promise that Gonzalez would give him the first ride in the finished vehicle. It took years before the build was completed, and his father-in-law passed away before the process was done; the car was named “Spirit Runner” in his honor. The vehicle, primarily a product of the vibrant Phoenix, Arizona, lowrider scene, includes modifications such as shaved handles, locks, and emblems, a cut and molded top, and molded doors, firewall, and hood.

“Spirit Runner” has a fully customized interior. Matching the vibrant blue and pink exterior paint, it features a fiberglass dash, floor, headliner, and console from Fish Designz, with paint by Rudy Gonzalez and DJ Juarez. George Upholstery wrapped and upholstered the seats, and Krazy Kutting engraved pieces throughout the interior. The car has won many awards and was featured on the March 2013 cover of Lowrider. It was also exhibited at the 2016 Essen Motor Show in Germany.
