Your Next Stop… The Twilight Zone.

Boyle Heights, California-native Mike Lopez has been creating iconic lowriders for almost fifty years. "Twilight Zone" was originally built as a "traditional" lowrider with a mostly stock look in the 1970s. First yellow, then deep purple, the car was transformed in 1988 when it was given a candy pearl base coat of black, purple, magenta, and blue fadeaways, then striped in seven colors. The interior and trunk were completely upholstered in three-color velour, and the engine compartment and motor were fully chromed. "Twilight Zone" was of the first lowriders classed as an "ultra custom," introducing a new vehicle class at shows.
