La Trokita Loca

The Sierra family’s lowriding experience dates back three generations. Sal Sierra II bought the truck that became "Trokita Loca" in the 1970s and set to work stripping it down and crafting it into a lowrider with his son, Sal III. They completely revamped the vehicle in the early 1990s, which took it from a street ride to a pristine show car, but in 1993 the truck was wrecked in an accident. A final rebuild brought “Trokita Loca” to its current look, which earned it Bomb Truck of the Year at the Lowrider Las Vegas Super Show in 2019 and 2021.

The truck’s multi-layer paint job is one of its defining features: Stone Cold Color applied candy and metal flake paint in a striped pattern to accentuate the vehicle’s shape. Alberto Herrera created the airbrushed murals representing the Mexican Revolution. The eye-catching scheme earned the 2015 Eastwood Best Paint award at SEMA and Lowrider’s Best Murals and Best Flake Paint Job awards in Vegas in 2021.
