Pike’s Peak Pink Hoonipigasus
Built to compete in the 100th Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, a formative event for Ken Block’s childhood rally-racing interest, the “Hoonipigasus” is the world's first mid-engined, all-wheel-drive, twin-turbocharged vintage Porsche. Its engine is from a 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 R race car, and its suspension is GPS-adjusted to suit different parts of the course. The significant aerodynamic elements are common for Pikes Peak specials, meant to mitigate the negative performance effects of thin air experienced during the climb from 9,390 to 14,115 feet.
