Setting the Pace for Future Transportation

In partnership with Jaguar Land Rover Waymo rolled out a fleet of all-electric autonomously driven Jaguar I-PACEs in 2021 that utilized the fifth-generation Waymo Driver technology. The fifth-generation hardware uses sensors that enable the Waymo Driver to see 360 degrees, in three dimensions, up to three football fields away, day or night, and in a range of weather conditions. The system’s enhanced capabilities have helped Waymo expand its operations from metro Phoenix, with its temperate environment and less dense streets, to more compact cities with a variety of weather-related challenges.
