The Iconic Chase Car from the Ice Fight Scene
Driven by villain Zao (Rick Yune) in the James Bond movie Die Another Day, this car appears stock but was actually heavily modified for filming. One of a small number of XKRs used in production, the vehicle was equipped with prop missiles that fired through the grille, rocket launchers on the doors, and a gatling gun mounted behind the driver. For the dramatic chase scene on ice, both Zao’s Jaguar and James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) Aston Martin were rebuilt on shortened Ford Explorer four-wheel-drive chassis for improved handling on the slippery surface.
