Donning the 2021 livery of the Arrow McLaren SP Indycar Team, this Dallara DW12 was driven by Pato O’Ward during the 2021 season. O’Ward earned 2 wins, 3 pole positions, and 5 podiums that year, resulting in a 3rd place overall finish in the 2021 championship. This impressive result early in his Indycar career contributed to the rapid growth of O’Wards reputation as a world-class racing driver. McLaren brought him on as the reserve driver for the McLaren F1 team in 2024 in addition to his continued role in Indycar, allowing him to gain experience in Formula 1 and pursue the IndyCar title for McLaren.
