“Hey… We got approval for this, right?”
The ME Four-Twelve is as much an engineering statement as a design study. The concept employed cutting-edge technology throughout, with carbon fiber bodywork and an aluminum honeycomb monocoque tub for lightness, electronically controlled suspension and active aerodynamics for handling, and power from a 6.0-liter quad-turbo V-12 from Mercedes-Benz performance division AMG, making 850 hp. Had the vehicle reached production as originally intended, the projected top speed of 248 mph would have made the vehicle a contender for the fastest car in the world at the time.
