Chapron’s 145 Masterpiece

Originally built for high-speed endurance racing, this V-12-powered Delahaye was purchased at the end of its racing career by coachbuilder Henri Chapron. Chapron re-bodied the aluminum race car as a two-seat roadgoing coupe with Delahaye’s signature radiator and an elaborate beltline that dipped with the slope of the fenders toward the rear. Having been modified over the years by various owners, the 145 was restored to its original Chapron configuration when it was acquired by the Mullin Automotive Museum in 2003.
