About the Event
The Donut Crew is back at it with The Petersen Automotive Museum for another epic Cruise-In, and you’re invited! On March 30th, starting at 9:00 am, roll up to the legendary Petersen Museum for a morning packed with jaw-dropping cars, good vibes, and exclusive surprises. Whether you’re bringing your ride, your crew, or just yourself, you don’t want to miss this.
Get up close with all your favorite Donut cars alongside some legendary icons from the car scene. Chat it up with the Donut hosts, snag exclusive Cruise-In merch you won’t find anywhere else, and, of course, fuel up with some tasty snacks. Stick around, though—because your car just might catch the eye of the Donut team during the Award Show. They’ll be picking rides with top-notch craftsmanship, killer styling, and spot-on fitment. Education Booth
At the education booth for this event, meet Nadine Sachiko Hsu, author of Sachiko & The Bully, for a special book signing next to her drift car!
Her books will be available at the retail booth nearby, and she will be doing a special book reading during Reading Roadsters in the Discovery Center at 12:30pm!
Nadine was among the first women in the U.S. to pursue professional drifting, competing in the Formula Drift Series from 2002-2006 with 14 sponsor-backed cars. As the founder of Drifting Pretty and a stunt double in Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift, she has championed women in motorsports. Inspired by her passion for empowering women, she wrote “Sachiko Goes Racing,” a children’s book that encourages kids to chase their dreams, no matter how unconventional. Today, she is an entrepreneur running a luxury portrait studio and accounting firm, while still enjoying drifting and spending time with her family.

Honorable Guest- Ed Pink “The Old Master”:
Ed is known for his art in engine building, especially in racing. Although Ed was successful in dragster engines, he also built many notary engines for other racing types and for performance vehicles. Ed Pink's Racing Engines had over 100 wins, 10 national championships, and led many racers to successful careers. Eds’ master craft got him the prestigious Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award and a spot in the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.

To celebrate the Italian Republic Day, the Petersen will be hosting a rally to Santa Barbara, ending at the Villa Bellosguardo Foundation - a beautiful estate with Mediterranean inspiration overlooking the ocean, with an evening reception.

About the Event
As the popularity of lowrider culture has grown in the United States and abroad, the skills involved in creating a lowrider vehicle have similarly advanced, with builders, painters, and metalworkers reaching new levels of artistry and craftsmanship. The Petersen Automotive Museum has celebrated this evolution since its first exhibition on lowriding in 2000 and continues to recognize the culture’s contributions to automotive history. With Best in Low, the Museum turns a lens on the creation of the car itself, as well as on the street and the show—spaces where the craft of lowriding is on full display.
The exhibition includes iconic lowrider vehicles and those newer to the scene, all featuring outstanding customization in various aspects of the lowrider build, from paint and metal finishing to interiors and hydraulics. The development of these techniques and practices over time is explored, and award-winning vehicles are featured.

For those wanting to display a vehicle as a show car - it must be a lowrider style vehicle, with no specific make or model. Generally, a lowrider is a vehicle that has been lowered on hydraulics, and often includes pinstriping, engravings, and other custom touches. So long as the car pays homage to the lowrider style or innovates upon it, we will consider it as a lowrider, but if the vehicle can be grouped into other categories (slammed or stance, for instance) we will not guarantee a show car spot. Those who bring vehicles who do not fit within these guidelines will not be allowed to park in the show car area, regardless of what ticket was purchased.
