The Japanese Car Cruise-In stands as a cornerstone in the Petersen Museum's annual lineup of events, drawing in thousands of JDM enthusiasts and aficionados each year.
From time-attackers to showstoppers and custom builds, the event promises an impressive showcase of JDM legends spanning several floors of the Petersen Garage. Car enthusiasts from across California flock to Los Angeles for this renowned show, eager to display their prized vehicles and share in the culture and history of Japanese automotive excellence.

We send out instructions to all show cars the Friday before the event around 5 PM - 6 PM. Note: If you did not sign up for more info or news during the purchase, you will not receive an email. If you’d like to receive additional information, sign up for our newsletter or reach out to info@petersen.org no later then the Friday before the event.

All our cruise-ins provide water, coffee, and light snacks. In order to be sure we can accommodate everyone, we ask that you sign up for this event. Even if you’re spectating. We also send out alternative parking solutions, bus routes and more for those coming to the event.

For those interested in displaying a vehicle as a show car - it must be a Japanese make vehicle, including both Japanese cars and motorcycles. Those who bring vehicles that do not fit within these guidelines will not be allowed to park in the show car section of the garage until after the event, regardless of what ticket was purchased.
