The Hypercar That Makes Its Name Seem Like an Understatement.

Formed from the company that built the record-setting Gumpert Apollo supercar, Apollo Automobil unveiled the IE hypercar in 2017. The IE, short for “Intensa Emozione” (“Intense Emotion” in Italian), was co-developed with AMG founder Hans Werner Aufrecht and his firm, HWA AG, designers of the Mercedes CLK-GTR. An homage to the well-remembered GT1 racing class of around 1994 to 2012, the IE has a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis and body panels. This example, chassis 002, is nicknamed “Orange Dragon” and was the first IE delivered to a customer.
