The Alpine A110 was produced from 1961-1977 and became famous for its performance in rally racing. While all A110 bodies were constructed of lightweight fiberglass, factory race cars such as this were made even lighter by removing unnecessary comforts and replacing standard trim, such as front and rear bumpers, with plastic components. This factory-prepared A110 was driven by Jean-Pierre Nicolas and Bernard Darniche in the 1973 Ronde de Chamonix and Ronde de Serre Chevalier, contributing to Alpine’s Championship-winning 1973 rally racing season.
