Let’s get ‘Lectrified!'

Melanie Orr bought the 1960 Buick LeSabre that would become “Lectrified” in 2004. Designed by Keith Kaucher, and fabricated by JH Restorations and Customs, Lectrified combines dramatic finned accents that reference mid-century “dream cars” with modern elements like a power-operated soft top and air-ride suspension. Recalling the styling of the 1960 Buick Electra, the car’s custom body panels feature the addition of a fourth “ventiport” on the front fenders. The car’s interior, crafted by Ron Magnus, incorporates a myriad of parts ranging from Porsche carpets to seats from a 1957 Ford Thunderbird. Recognizing Lectrified’s high quality of customization, when showcased at Grand National Roadster Show in 2016, the custom received second place overall in the Custom Convertible class and an Outstanding Paint award. It was featured on the cover of Street Rodder magazine the following year.
