Despite its century-long motorsport history, Aston Martin only joined Formula One recently, following Lawrence Stroll’s investment in the brand, which saw his Racing Point F1 team rebranded as Aston Martin F1 for 2021. Since then, the team has attracted world champion drivers Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso and appointed legendary designer Adrian Newey as Managing Technical Partner. Coupled with a deal to use Honda power units from 2026, these moves have positioned Aston Martin among Formula One’s most ambitious and promising teams.
