About the Art Lessons

Using mixed media, guests will use the "art of the highway" to create beautiful pieces inspired by the landscape around them.

Graffiti knitting/yarn bombing is the art of using items handmade from yarn to create street art. Artists take their knitted items into a public place and install the piece in that public place. Guests will learn basic knitting patterns while learning about various graffiti knitting art pieces put around the world.

The Art of Stencil Making: this art lesson will teach guests different cutting techniques to achieve unique effects and designs on signs to create personalized art pieces.

Cut, Shape, Create: Learn to create your own stencils.

Included with your purchase of a ticket is a 30-minute early access to a self-guided tour of the “Eyes on the Road” exhibit, alongside expert docents that will offer unique stories and information about the exhibits.
