A Record-Breaking Year: A Recap On Our 2026 Japanese Cruise-In

Written by Jonathan Lucero

This year’s Japanese Cruise-In brought out one of the biggest and most diverse collections of vehicles we've ever hosted. From early 1960s Toyotas to neo-classic Nissan Skyline GT-Rs, the show was packed with automotive history, rare builds, and everything in between. Whether you came for the vintage classics, modern performance cars, or custom motorcycles, there was no shortage of incredible machines to check out. And yes—we captured plenty of photos from the day to share with everyone who couldn't make it out.

For gaming fans, one of the biggest surprises at the event was the appearance of the featured cover cars from the latest entry in the Forza Horizon series, Forza Horizon 6. With the game heavily inspired by Japanese car culture, their presence felt right at home among the hundreds of enthusiast vehicles on display. Visitors got an up-close look at both the all-new 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota’s latest flagship sports car, the GR GT.

Designed with an aerodynamics-first philosophy, the GR GT features a long hood, wide stance, and aggressive proportions that make its performance intentions immediately clear. The car's styling and engineering draw heavily from Toyota’s FIA GT3 race car program, with both vehicles sharing key structural elements. As a sports car enthusiast, it’s hard not to get excited about what Toyota has created here. It looks every bit like a race car for the road... and then some! Put me down for one!

This widebody Nissan Silvia looked right at home among the event’s many modified imports and classics.Everywhere you looked there was something different, from pristine restorations to highly personalized builds that reflected the creativity and passion of their owners.

More than anything, the Japanese Cruise-In continues to be about bringing people together. It's a chance to share great cars and motorcycles, see what's new in the automotive world, reconnect with old friends, and meet fellow enthusiasts who share the same passion.

This year's event will undoubtedly go down as one of the biggest and most memorable we've hosted. To everyone who brought a vehicle, attended the show, or simply stopped by to enjoy the atmosphere, thank you for helping us create another unforgettable day!
