2024 BMW M4 GT4 (G82)

The second-generation M4 road car (G82/G83) debuted in 2020, bringing changes that included a 47-horsepower boost over its predecessor, a paddle-shifted automatic transmission, and optional all-wheel drive. Developed for the FIA GT4 class—the medium-level customer-racing GT class—the M4 GT4 has been proving itself on tracks around the world by earning victories in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, the SRO GT4 America, and the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. This example is used by the BMW Performance Center to teach amateur racing drivers the skills needed to compete and win on the track. Despite the M3 no longer competing in motorsports, BMW also released the limited-edition M3 CS (“Competition Sport”) in 2023 as a reminder of the model’s enduring high-performance capabilities.
