Acura offered the Integra Type R variant beginning in 1997—the first true factory-built “tuner car.” While produced in very limited numbers, it was prized for its balanced platform and ease of modification. This Integra is driven by Edwin (Ja Rule), starting alongside Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) in the dramatic first race scene of The Fast and the Furious. It was the #1 hero car used for production and was rented from customizer Bob Kohl, who designed it to resemble a racing-spec Honda Accord coupe.
