While the cars of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) in the early films of the franchise mirrored the modified customs popular among street racers in mid-20th century America, F9: The Fast Saga reimagined Dom’s Charger as a fully custom-bodied vehicle fitted with unconventional gadgets. In the story, Dom drives the Charger as he tracks his super-spy brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena), and chases villain Otto (Thue Ersted Rasmussen). The vehicle’s sleek look was achieved with a carbon-fiber widebody and a custom frame, giving it a mid-engine layout. This is one of three remaining screen-used stunt cars built for F9: The Fast Saga. The Charger R/T’s refined yet aggressive design mirrors the character of Dominic Toretto, signaling his growth from young street racer to leader of the Toretto family.
