2002 Gurney Grand Prix Alligator A6 #001
Dan Gurney and his team launched the limited edition Grand Prix Alligator motorcycle at the Petersen Automotive Museum in 2002. Decades in the making, the Alligator featured a carbon fiber faring over a chrome-moly frame, and a low seated, foot-forward design that lowers the motorcycle’s center of gravity while retaining the aerodynamic properties of a performance motorcycle. The 36 limited edition Alligators were painted blue with a white racing stripe in reference to the livery and number of the #36 Eagle Gurney-Weslake F-1 car that Gurney drove to win the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix.
