Barbour's Champion

In 1979, a Porsche 935 K3 built by German racing tuners Erwin and Manfred Kremer won that year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. For the 1980 season, the 935 K3 model was developed even further to better its chances of repeating the famous victory. Driven at Le Mans by John Fitzpatrick, Brian Redman and Dick Barbour, it placed first in class and fifth overall. The Porsche went on to claim the IMSA Championship later that year, having been driven to outright victories at four races during the season.
