1971 McLaren M8E/F
The Canadian American Challenge Cup (Can Am) evolved out of Sports Car Club of America postwar amateur racing. While Can Am rules required cars be street-legal, racing teams found loopholes to gain an advantage. New Zealanders Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme were especially successful in Can Am and their combined run of successes during the 1969 season led some to dub the series “The Bruce and Denny Show.” This M8E/F was recently restored by Canepa Motorsports and fitted with a new M8F body donated by McLaren.
