1968 Mcleagle Olsonite AAR Can-Am Car #48
Based on a McLaren M6B production racecar, this heavily modified Can Am McLaren-Eagle was nicknamed the Olsonite “McLeagle.” Over its racing career, the McLeagle has never appeared at any two races in the same configuration. In addition to altering its suspension geometry, AAR experimented with several wing setups, including a wing mounted over the suspension. Originally using Ford-based engines, after missing six races in the 1969 season, AAR resorted to using a big-block Chevrolet engine to complete the season.
