1967 Alfa Romeo
The Last of a Legend
Building on its success with the TZ race car, Alfa Romeo debuted the TZ2 at the 1965 Geneva Salon. The TZ2 utilized the same tubular space frame as the TZ, but with suspension improvements and a revised fiberglass body by Zagato. Engine upgrades included a twin-plug head and dry sump lubrication, bringing horsepower up to 170. This car was the last TZ2 built and served as a factory team car before being sold to Aldo Bardelli, who raced it until 1969.
