Ray Brown Roadster
A True Barn Find
In 1945 and early 1946, 17 year-old Ray Brown built this roadster while working for Eddie Meyer Engineering Co. in Hollywood, CA. He painted the hot rod Sherwood Green, a distinctive 1946 Buick color. In 1948 Ray sold the car, after which it was put in dry storage for nearly 40 years. In 1991 it was discovered in untouched original condition, complete with eleven timing tags. Following a ground-up restoration that returned the car to its original racing configuration, it has won multiple awards from the Antique Automobile Club of America.
