Lowrider Stories: The High Art of Riding Low: Ranflas, Corazón e Inspiración
Come to the Petersen Automotive Museum to hear the stories behind these beautiful and show stopping cars that are icons and canvases of creative expression both within the United States and globally. Learn about the culture and history of lowriding, and how the these cars have become recognized as works of art. Hear the stories behind some of the vehicles featured in the current Petersen exhibition, such as El Rey, Our Family Car, Gypsy Rose and Gangster Squad. The panel of lowrider car owners and artists includes Albert de Alba, Jesse Valadez, and Mister Cartoon and will be moderated by Dr. Denise Sandoval, guest curator of the exhibit.
