Christy Webber wants her fleet of red Chevrolet Silverados to get noticed as they provide landscaping design, construction and maintenance programs to clients throughout Chicago.

“When you see a ComEd truck on the street in your neighborhood, you know right away who they are and what their purpose is,” said Christy Webber, CEO of Christy Webber Landscapes. “I want our vehicles to instill that same sense of familiarity with potential customers.”

Christy Webber Landscapes, which is responsible for the upkeep of some of Chicago’s most famous landmarks, has Chevrolet Silverado 1500s, 2500s and 3500s in their fleet, as well as a handful of Chevrolet Cruzes.

From cutting grass at Millennium Park, to plowing the parking lot of Soldier Field, it’s not uncommon to see a Christy Webber Landscapes vehicle parked near a project, or driving through the city on its way to another one.

“My first work truck was a red 1989 Chevrolet that I bought upon graduating from college when I decided to start this business,” added Webber. “That’s why the entire fleet is bright red: it’s the color of my business.”

Webber uses what she’s learned with her vehicles to move her landscaping business forward. By knowing what type of upfits work best, for instance, it’s her hope that other companies will realize the benefits of doing work the right way so that everybody wins.

“We are a trade. We are real. We do something that is very valuable to America,” says Webber. “And to have the right equipment makes it easier and better in our bottom line.”
