Prettiest Pink Bomb

Though he had been enamored with lowriders since attending his first lowrider show in 1992, Bernardo Casian of Cathedral City, California, originally got into “greaser cars” (older model vehicles with their engines modified for speed) because they were more affordable to build. The greaser style was his original plan when he bought this Chevy Deluxe at the Pomona Swapmeet. But a friend, Jose Rodriguez, encouraged him to change direction and craft the vehicle into a lowrider. Casian gifted “Pretty in Pink” to his wife on their wedding day.

Casian hit the show circuit with the car, continuing to add to it between shows throughout the Southwest. He ranked in the top three in numerous shows, qualifying him for Lowrider’s Sweepstakes at the Las Vegas Super Show, where he placed 3rd for Bomb of the Year in 2012. From 2014 through 2017, the car was awarded 2nd place at the Vegas show and finally secured the Best Bomb title in 2018. “Pretty in Pink” has also been featured in magazines like Lowrider, Street Low, and Lowrider Scene.
